Title: Creatures of My Nightmare
In 1975 recorded
in California for a King Biscuit Flower Hour this is of course an edited
version of the concert of "Welcome To My Nightmare". An incorrect
track No. 10 as "Escape" is really "I Love The Dead"...oh
yeah I get those two songs mixed up all the time. The quality is very
good for a bootleg. Since this is the start of Alice's solo career.
He tours with a new backing band: Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter - guitars,
Prakish John - bass, Pentti "Whitey" Glan - drums, Jozef Chirowski
- keyboards. Plus his additional performers such as the dancers which
include his future wife Sheryl Goddard among others. |

Welcome To My Nightmare - July 27, 1975
(radio broadcast)
recorded from King Buscuit Flower Hour
This is the complete show of above's "Creature of My Nightmare".
I have edit out Pioneer commercials that fall between some of the tracks.
I also edited the intro of King Buscuit Flower Hour which was over 2
minutes of Pioneer commercials. These commercials are repeated again
during the concert and at the end.
This is the beginning of Alice’s solo performance. Backed by an
excellent band the same who played w/ Lou Reed during his ’73
Rock N Roll Animal and Berlin album.
This bootleg is dated wrong. It reads June 18,1975 which Alice did play
in L.A. But he later came back on July 27, 1975 to perform for The King
Buscuit Flower Hour.
The quality is excellent and I like Alice’s version of I’m
Eighteen” . Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner is astounding guitarist
and it’s been known that Wagner has worked unaccredited in the
studio of previous Alice Cooper albums so this isn’t new to him.
This also includes the guitar solos during an extended “Devil’s
Food” that last close to 8 minutes.

Title: One Night of Halloween
Recorded in Saginaw, MI.,
misdated the correct date is May 10, 1978. This too was recorded for King
Biscuit Flower Hour. Alice was doing his "School's Out Summer"
tour which consisted of classic tunes and his first three solo records
"Welcome To My Nightmare", "Goes To Hell" and "Lace
& Whisky".
The quality of this bootleg is also as good as"Creatures of My Nightmare".
Of course they have 2 songs on track 7 "Unfinished Suite" followed
by "Escape" then for track 8 "I Love The Dead" which
isn't listed.
Band: Steve Hunter and Jefferson Kewley - guitars, Dee Murray - bass,
Dennis Conaway - drums, Fred Mandel - keyboards. Then you have the dancers.

Title: Live In USA 1978/1980
This CD has two concerts one in Saginaw, MI 1978 and other
in El Paso, TX 1980. The Saginaw is from the King Biscuit Flower Hour
that I have mentioned above.
The El Paso concert is Alice in his New Wave period from "Flush
The Fashion" tour.
Some corrections on the listings. On the Saginaw show they listed track
6 as "What We Are Is What We Are" which is really "You
& Me". On the El Paso show they list last track "Wish
You Where Here" and list Pink Floyd as song credit is really an
instrumental of "Wish You Were Here" from "Goes To Hell"
album.
I enjoyed the second half of this CD which was "Flush The Fashion"
tour. This was Alice's first time changing his music style over to New
Wave. I particular liked "Pain" and "Clones" live.
The instrumental "Wish You Were Here" was interesting although
I love the lyrics in that song it comes across as maybe the costume
change set of the show but is placed at the end. Anyway I don't have
many of the New Wave Alice so this was a good one to get considering
having the Saginaw concert on it.
Musicians for Saginaw: Steve Hunter
and Jefferson Kewley - guitars, Dee Murray - bass, Dennis Conaway -
drums, Fred Mandel - keyboards.
The El Paso, Tx concert consist of Mike Pinera and Fred Mandel - guitars,
Duanne Hitchings - keyboard & guitar, Erik Scott - bass, Ross Salomone
- drums.

Madhouse Rock tour promoting “From The Inside” album, Alice’s
first dry concert after being released from the detox hospital. Quality
is pretty good for audience recording. I would say this is one of the
better performances from this tour. The intro is a recording of Vincent
Price’s voice as he introduces Alice Cooper. Alice covers much
from his “From The Inside” lp as well as the classics such
as “I’m Eighteen’, “Dead Babies” and “Ballad
of Dwight Fry” to name a few. The encore “School’s
Out” is about 20 minutes in length as Alice talks to the crowd
and introduces the band w/ each member playing a solo. Also Alice says,
“Onetime for Keith Moon he would of wanted it that way.”
Also this concert includes ‘All Strapped Up’ a number that
isn’t on any album. Alice only performed this song during this
tour. This song is a sort of 1920’s ragtime style.
Alice plays w/ his new back up band that he calls “Ultra Latex”.

Flush The Fashion Tour. This is a full 2 CD show along w/ 4 short Alice
interview inserts that are between 30 seconds to 1 minute in length.
The quality is excellent since it’s a professional recording from
Westwood Radio.
I previously have the incomplete concert titled Live In USA 1978/1980
bootleg version.
I don’t have much of Alice’s New Wave concerts so it’s
a pleasure to hear & have this concert. Alice plays a number of
songs from his Flush The Fashion lp such as Grim Facts, Pain (he kind
of forgets some of the lyrics), Talk Talk, Clones, Nuclear Infected,
and Dance Yourself To Death.
Alice does an interesting version of Billion Dollar Babies leading into
I Love The Dead then back to Billion Dollar Babies finish very interesting.
Great show.

Flush The Fashion tour is one of the rare
recordings. I know I planned to see Alice perform at an outdoor concert
in New Hampshire along w/ Garland Jefferys and some other New Wave artist
only to be canceled.
This concert in MI., has some interruptions near the beginning like
the first song 'Model Citizen' but besides that this is a pretty good
concert. They were having problems w/ the crowd rushing the stage as
they announce a number of times to step back because right after 'Guilty'
they made Alice leave the stage. Then the MC announces Alice back again
on stage to finish the rest of the concert. It seems when Alice came
back the band sounded a lot better. They also do a good version to 'Gutter
Cats Vs The Jets' that sounded a little different or maybe updated to
there new wave sound. His backing band was very talented and it was
good to hear the songs from 'Flush the Fashion' live. I enjoyed the
introduction to the band during 'School's Out' .

This concert is pretty much like the the popular '82 Glasgow, Scotland show. For an audience recording it's pretty good. It sounds more like a soundboard recording. You can't hear anyone talking during and inbetween songs. "School's Out" is 15 minutes long including introduction to the band as they play a little solo. I was never crazy about this part of the concert I rather have them just play the song. Beside that great concert.

Shown as Glasgow, Scotland Feb. 2, 1982 is really February
19, 1982 from radio broadcast. A concert from "Special Forces"
tour, Alice's New Wave period. The quality is very good since it was
recorded from a radio broadcast. Alice sounds great as he goes through
his newer songs at the time as from "Flush The Fashion" and
"Special Forces" album. Plus Alice sings some of his classics
with a newer style.
I have a complete version of this program and it list three more tracks,
"Pain", Billion Dollar Babies, and "Vicous Rumours"
as the closing out song.
Includes Mike Pinera and John Nitzinger- guitars, Wayne Cook - keyboards,
Erik Scott - bass, Jan Uvena - drums.
The edition on the end of this CD is Rock Legends 1978
from Detroit 101 WRIF radio show. This consist of 5 minute or so history
of Alice Cooper with a brief Alice snippet followed by a 1978 concert

(complete show)
This is the complete show the radio special
that I listed above this review. The songs that weren’t aired on
the radio probably due to time constraints are “Pain”, “Billion
Dollar Babies” and closing out w/ a little “Vicious Rumours”
are on this recording.
During Alice’s New Wave period this show was the “Special
Forces” tour. The band gave the older songs a new sound as well
as Alice’s albums during that time. This concert is one of my favorites.
Alice does an excellent version of “I’m Eighteen” w/
some guitar jamming.
Also “Generation Landslide” has some real excellent extended
instrumental work. But to top it all off is “School’s Out”
as Alice introduces the band and they all play a brief solo. Guitarist
Mike Pinera goes into “Vicious Rumours” right at the end as
Alice sings a few lines from the song.
Alice does a good mix of playing some of his newer material like songs
from “Flush the Fashion” and “Special Forces”
. Plus relying on his classics to please the audience. As I noted above
the band brings a fresh sound to the classics. It really is an excellent
concert.

Known as The Nightmare Returns, The Constrictor Tour. This is Alice’s
return to shock rock w/ his new band and album ‘Constrictor’.
Covering some of the classics like ‘Billion Dollar Babies’,
‘Elected’, and ‘Under My Wheels’. You get 3
songs from ‘Constrictor’ which are ‘The World Needs
Guts’, ‘Give It Up’ and ‘Teenage Frankenstein’.
The new band brings more heavy metal sound to the classics, which isn’t
a bad thing just breathing new life into them. Only thing is the interruption
on ‘Ballad of Dwight Fry’ which is in the last minute of
the song. This may be from the tape ending and having to flip it over.
Besides that the quality is very good.
The band consist of muscle man Kane Roberts on guitar, Kip Winger on
bass before he broke out on his own in the 80’s, Devlin 7 aka
Johnny Dime who’s real name is Arthur Funaro on guitar, Paul Horowitz
aka Paul Horrors now known as Paul Taylor on keyboards and underrated
Ken Mary on drums who later formed the band Fifth Angel in the 80’s. |

Title: Under The Blade
(edited of above concert)
This vinyl bootleg is from London's Wembley Arena, Nov.
23, 1986. This is Alice's "Constrictor" tour with his new
heavy metal band. Kane Roberts and Devlin 7 - guitars, Devlin 7 also
known as Johnny Dime on "Raise Your Fist & Yell" tour,
was actually Arthur Funaro. Kip Winger - bass, Paul Horowitz - keyboards,
Horowitz was renamed Paul Horror. Paul later changed his name to Paul
Taylor. Ken Mary - drums. Plus additional performers like dancer, nurse,
executioner, etc.
So since Alice comes back with a more metal sounding band
they also like the New Wave band give a heavy sound to some of the old
classics. Audio quality has a sort of tinny sound to it. |

The Nightmare Returns (Constrictor Tour)
This was actually record for radio broadcast as a Superstar Series Concert
Program.
So the quality is very good. Now I’m not too sure if there was
some editing. The only song left out was “Teenage Frankenstein”
that was included in this tour.
It’s the same track order from The Nightmare Returns DVD.
The band is very tight and has that 80's metal sound sound to the classic
songs. No one really mentions it but I think Ken Mary is an excellent
drummer. I even enjoy his work on his band Fifth Angel that produced
2 lps afterwards.
The band is

Raise Your Fist & Yell tour starts off w/ ‘Teenage Frankenstein’
that is longer than the album version due to Alice theatrics of him
making a monster. Quality is good. Alice performing w/ his ‘splatter’
rock band gives a very heavy metal sound to the songs although I can’t
but help hearing “RYF&Y” sound in some of the classics.
I do like hearing ‘Killer’ this song hasn’t been covered
live in years. Of course you have the ‘School’s Out’
introduction to the band by Alice, which brings it to about a 10 minute
song. They close w/ ‘Freedom’ and ‘Under My Wheels’
In all a great concert to see as well.

This recording has Alice & Kane talking about the new album and tour

The interview is pretty funny as Alice & Kane goof around as they
take callers. Some funny bits but nothing informative just 2 musicians

Recorded from an audience this concert at
times goes high & low. Also has a tinny sound to it. The “Raise
Your Fist & Yell” tour was on of most theatrical shows Alice
brought back to the stage. You also have (Rambo) Kane Roberts on guitar.
If you have “Prime Cuts” DVD you could view some of the numbers
from this tour.
A very Metal concert as the band gives a heavier sound. You also have
some instrumental parts or extended play such as beginning of “Chop,
Chop, Chop”, “Killer” when Alice heads for the gallows.
During “School’s Out” Alice introduces the band as they
play a lil’ solo.
