Brutal Planet tour of the album
of the same name recorded in my hometown again but this time I was there
other than the ’73 Billion Dollar Babies tour I have posted.
The concert was amazing and if you really want a good version I suggest
getting the DVD “Brutally Live”. One of the things I don’t
like about this recording isn’t the show. It’s the recording
of the show. They have each song shut down after each track like it’s
an individual track. It doesn’t flow together like other concert
bootleg recordings. Besides that it’s not a bad audio. Only song
that gets cut is part of the instrumental.
You have 7 songs from “Brutal Planet” which I love to death…oh
wait that’s another album. It’s cool to hear the new songs
live and the band brings a new vibe to the classics as they give a heavier
feel to them. During the intro of “It’s Only The Little
Things” when Alice talks to the crowd about things that bug him.
He gives it a personnel touch as he says, “I get in traffic in
Boston & everything is under construction! Everything! “.
As the natives of Boston really dug that comment cause during this time
Boston has been under major construction for quite some time. We all
have to deal w/ detours; closed roads, jersey barriers but having Alice
make a comment on it made me bust a gut.
Alice also does a cover of The Who’s “My Generation”
during “Billion Dollar Babies”.

DragonTown tour is the sequel to “Brutal Planet” but wasn’t
as popular. I have to say I wasn’t that pleased w/ “Dragontown”
album. It’s not as good as “Brutal Planet” to me it’s
a poor follow up. But I have to say when hearing “DragonTown”
songs live that made me approach it a little more. Alice only covers
5 tracks from “DragonTown” and 2 of the songs are in a medley
at the beginning of the concert. What I like during this show Alice
sings “Sanctuary” from “Brutal Planet” which
he didn’t cover during the “Brutal Planet” tour. Some
past Alice songs that are played is “Welcome To My Nightmare”,
“Nurse Rozetta” and “Lost In America”. As for
cover song Alice does Hendrix’s “Fire” which he has
covered on a b-side and now on the box set.
This also includes the instrumental and drum solo in its entirety. The
audio is great and the songs flow into one another as the tracks switch.

This is a very interesting concert that Alice sings a few covers. One
of the few shows and again not many recordings of this concert. There
is some audience interruptions during a few numbers but during the rare
cover songs I'm glad to say they seem to shut up. The cover songs are
The Beatle’s ‘Back In The USSR’, The Who ‘My Generation’
which Alice covered during his “Brutal Planet” tour. The Rolling
Stones ‘Brown Sugar’ and ‘Honkey Tonk Women’.
Last cover is Elton John’s “Saturday Night’s Alright
For Fighting’.
I believe Eric Dover was co-vocals on Elton’s song.

2003 - Oct 30, Massey Hall, Toronto, Canada
The Eyes of Alice Cooper or The Bare Bones tour this Massey Hall has
a good reputation among Alice fans collecting bootlegs. The quality
is just as good as the bootleg DVD that’s floating around.
Since “Eyes…” album is a more stripped down version
of a garage rock band Alice tours w/ 4 musicians. Plus his theatrics
are cut down so the stage show isn’t as big but this has no effect
on the show. Alice’s music stands for itself and doesn’t
need the theatrics. It’s just an added feature. You have 5 tracks
from “Eyes of Alice Cooper” album. During “Detroit
City” he replaces “Detroit” w/ “Toronto”
not something he did during every concert just I think he wanted to
thank Toronto for having always welcomed him.

2004 – June 21, Tollwood Festival,
Munich Germany
Second leg of the Eyes of Alice Cooper Tour
brings Alice to Germany. This is a very good quality for bootleg. I hear
no audience over talking during the songs. Alice performs w/ an adjustment
in his set list of this second leg of the tour. Some of the replaced set
is ‘Muscle of Love’, ‘Gutter Cats vs The Jets’,
‘Sick Things’, ‘Brutal Planet’ and from his New
Wave days “Who Do You Think We Are’ w/ out the helicopter
intro. It’s real good to hear some of these older songs. As for
the new album “Eyes…” Alice keeps 3 songs from 2003
tour ‘Man of The Year’, ‘Between High School & Old
School’, and ‘What Do You Want From Me?’. This time
he replaces ‘Novacaine’ for ‘Backyard Brawl’.
Another change is Tony Clufetos who replaced Eric Singer who most likely
was touring w/ Kiss. Cluetos was good backing the band but not that outstanding
during his solo performance. The only gap was drum solo that seemed to
get interrupted for a second. I don’t know if it was originally
from a flipping over a recording tape or what but it really doesn’t
matter at all. The band is pretty tight on this show. It sounds like it
was an excellent concert.

2004 – August 5, XM Radio, Washington DC
XM Satellite Radio presents The 30th Anniversary
of Alice Cooper’s 1974 Greatest Hits Album. Recorded live in Washington
DC, Performance Theater.
Alice covers each song in sequence as on the album but this time live. This
is pretty much what you hear at any Cooper concert. There isn't anything
special.
Quality is excellent and Alice does a good job only thing I think it
would have been a good opportunity to get the original members to play
it. Also it would have been nice to have the Co-vocals on Billion Dollar
Babies as the original was done w/ Donavan.
I know w/ the original band Michael Bruce filled in on stage. I think
Ryan Roxie would of done some bitching vocals on that song.

Alice plays 2 new songs from Dirty Diamonds
CD. “Woman of Mass Distraction” and “Dirty Diamonds”.
One tune Alice brings back is “Raped n Freezin”.
Alice always seem to have a good backing band to play his classics.
Besides drummer Eric Singer who’s been playing w/ Alice for sometime
now you have Guitarist Keri Kelli, Jason Hook and bassist Chuck Garric
who give the songs a fresh heavy sound.

With the same backing band from the Sheffield
2007 concert this show is just as good. There are a few changes in numbers
such as Alice’s new song “Vengence Is Mine” from new
released CD “Along Came A Spider”. Alice also brings back
“Lost In America” great song from another favorite of mine
album “The Last Temptation”.
This is a 2 CD set but I changed one track that is drum solo on Halo
of Flies started in 2nd disc. I just moved it to the end of the 1st
disc so it’s right after “Halo of Flies”
Other than that you can download it yourself & leave it on the 2nd
disc.

2011 - May 16, Ottawa Civic Center,
Ottawa, Canada
This is near the start of No More Mr. Nice Guy Tour in 2011. There are some band changes such as Glen Sobel on drums, Tommy Henrisen on guitar and from the original Welcome To My Nightmare album and tour Steve Hunter. This time Alice tours w/ 3 guitarist Damon Johnson who's been touring for sometime w/ Alice makes the final guitarist. I think Glen gives a fresh sounds to the drums. Eric has been touring w/ Alice for sometime and I notice it's starting to sound the same. So new blood really gave this show a fresh sound.
The quality is a very good audience recording. The new members are great and I think Steve Hunter makes these songs jump out. Classic tunes like "I'm Eighteen","Under My Wheels", "Is It My Body" sound like classic Alice Cooper.
Alice introduces a new song "I'll Bite Your Face Off" from the forthcoming 'Welcome 2 My Nightmare' album. Alice said it's like The Stones or classic Alice. It's not classic Alice it's more like "Eyes of Alice Cooper" and "Dirty Diamonds." Some of the tracks from those albums do have a Stones sound. I'm not happy w/ the title of the song it's just too comical. There is nothing nightmarish about it but we'll see how it fits in w/ final album release. Maybe it's the one comic relief song that Alice always places on his recordings.
It was good to hear "Clones (We're All)" again and "Wicked Young Man" starts w/ a military drum which I thought sounded very clever. There's a little instrumental of "Killer" during the execution and excerpts of "I Love The Dead". "School's Out" includes "Another Brick In The Wall pt 2" and ends w/ Hendrix's "Fire".

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Steve Hunter - Guitar

KLOS Radio Station Live at
The Whiskey A-Go-Go
Hosted by KLOS Radio Station Alice performs at The Whiskey A-Go-Go. Introduction by Rob Zombie, Alice performs w/ his band he is currently touring with. Although Alice may say we haven't played here in 40 years. I don't know who he means by "we" unless he's talking about his stage character Alice because other than Alice & Steve Hunter no one in the band were born yet.
This is an excellent show w/ a few guests and some rare covers by Alice. Train Kept A-Rollin', Brown Sugar, We Gotta Get Out Out of This Place. Plus 2 Doors covers w/ guest Door's guitarist Robby Krieger. Alice covers Break On Through and Back Door Man. Of course Back Door Man isn't really a Doors original it's an old blues song just like Train Kept A-Rollin' but The Doors and Yardbirds made these songs radio friendly. Robby was funny telling the story the first time Alice met Jim Morrision.
Ke$ha appears on stage to join Alice on School's Out. Alice also introduces his new guitarist Orianthi who was known as Michael Jackson's latest guitarist.
Alice performs this show w/out make-up and at times gets out of character saying "If Alice catches me wearing his gloves..."
The band is great and the sound is excellent. What really made this is the 2 Doors covers. Hearing Alice always talking about hanging w/ Jim and his influence on songs like Desperado Alice finally sings 2 Doors songs. His voice is just amazing and spot on.
I would love to see a video of this concert.
I would like to thank KLOS for posting this concert on their website for free download to all the fans.

2011 - October 29, London KK
Alexander Palace, TV Broadcast
Halloween Night of Fear
Since this was a TV Broadcast the audio quality was very good. But hate to say it Alice is getting predictable playing his hits and only one song from his new album. Why do a new album if you only plan on playing one song. I really haven't gone to an Alice concert in sometime for this reason. I think the last 4 shows I seen it was just best of songs. I think Alice could of done a cool concert on just "Along Came A Spider" or even his "Welcome 2 My Nightmare".
The gutairs and drums during "Halo of Flies" wasn't the best I heard in past concerts. The intro to "Clones" wasn't the greatest.
Final song "Fire" was done by guest Arthur Brown w/ Alice
backing. I just basically heard Brown singing I really didn't hear Alice but anyway it was a good number.
