Flying Tigers (Neal Smith and Dennis
Dunaway)
This is rated 2 Eyes for the audio quality of the recording. I would of
gave this close to 4 eyes if it was more legible. You have some guy yelling
throughout the concert I don’t know if he was the one recording
or just standing next to the recorder but it get’s annoying to me.
Also the quality seems too loud I couldn’t hear the vocals as clear
as I would want like to.
Some of the songs that happen to be originals from the band are pretty
good I wish I could hear a studio version. ‘Love Is A Killer”
is a good number which the vocalist Paul Roy shows off his pipes. This
is a great number.
“Sweet Dancer” has that kind of disco sound but majority of
their numbers really rocked. “Do You Wanna Know” is a song
from Michael Bruce’s Rock Rolls On album. This number was written
by Neal & Michael. It was good to hear it live. They also cover 2
songs from Battle Axe album, “Too Young”, and “Rock
n’ Roll Radio”. Plus 3 Alice numbers “ I’m eighteen”,
“Big Apple Dreamin’”, and “Under My Wheels”.
The crowd was really into it. I guess they invited all their friends. |

Virgin (Glen Buxton)
This concert came from a video that was pretty good quality.
Mike Nitro is the lead vocalist and guitarist as bass player Posman
also sings (Tom Petty sounding) a few numbers. Most of the material
is original music and since it’s the eighties they do have a little
80’s sound. Glen let loose on a few numbers and they do cover
2 Alice songs “Desperado” and “I’m Eighteen”.
But I have to say the vocals on these 2 covers don’t do them justice.
They are better w/ their own material. They even mention on “Stay”
an original was written by Glen.
There is some distortion to this recording but it’s from the vhs
recording. But not as bad as the Buxton Flynn Band distorted video.
1983 line up:
Glen Buxton: lead guitar
Micahel Nitro: vocals, guitar
Postman: vocals, bass (although the video reads as Postel)
Fred Macone: drums

Virgin (Glen Buxton)
at The Mason Jar, Phoenix, AZ
I would of gave this a better rating but the audio goes in & out.
Alice’s Lead guitarist Glen Buxton formed a band named Virgin
that only lasted a short time. There are only a few recordings of these
shows. They cover 5 Cooper songs, ‘I’m Eighteen’ for
one the volume drops low near the end for a few seconds but the other
covers sound good and R&B song ‘Gimme Some Lovin’. The
Alice songs seem to be clear as the band’s original material is
a low audible. Also the covers sound better this time than on their
1983 recording. There are two songs that are untitled on the bootleg.
One of the songs the singer says it was written by Alice and Glen. Unfortunately
that’s one of the poorly sounding tracks. Another song is ‘Just
A Sin’ that’s not as bad as in volume. This bluesy song
Glen does a solo that is excellent.
As for the band members the introductions was cut off during the recording
but what I got was this Glen Buxton – lead guitar, Clay Harper
– drums, Mike Blair – rhythm guitar, the keyboard player
gets cut off and don’t know about bass player & singer name.
I did ask on-line and this is there response…
“Virgin went through several "personnel changes". Mike
Postman (bass) was a constant. Others included Michael Nitro (guitar
and vocals), Fred
Marcon (drums), Clay Harper, Mike Desoto, and Mike Ash.”

Buxton Flynn Band
(Glen Buxton)
Would of gave this 4 EYES if not for the defective recording of this
show on a few songs. Glen Buxton teams up Mike Flynn who's one awesome
guitarist. I never heard of Flynn but they could of been one of the
best bands around w/ 2 outstanding guitarist. Flynn on lead vocals has
that Allman Brothers sound. This tape unfortunately isn't the best quality
as a few songs get distorted. They cover 'School's Out' and The Doors
'Roadhouse Blues'. The other songs I'm not sure if they are original
or rare covers but they sound very good. The encore song is one long
jam that is amazing w/ Glen & Mike soloing too bad during the recording
it gets distorted for a while then clears up near the end. Buxton Flynn
band is much better than Virgin.

BDS - Glen Buxton
Memorial III (Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith)
BDS performs at Glen Buxton 3rd Memorial weekend held at The Whiskey
A Go-Go in Hollywood, CA. I found this quite appropriate since Glen
being part of one of the most theatrical bands in history. In 1968 Alice
Cooper started out at the Whiskey A Go-Go.
BDS, Dennis Dunaway and Neil Smith play in memory of friend and former
band mate of the Alice Cooper band Glen Buxton. With Joe Bouchard on
vocals BDS start off w/ pre-Alice Cooper song “Don’t Blow
Your Mind.” from 1966 when they were known as The Spiders.
Following next 8 tracks from BDS debut album “Back From Hell”
and one song “The Real Thing” sung by Dennis Dunaway. A
new song written for Glen “I’ll See You On the Other Side”
and closing out w/ “Don’t Fear The Reaper” from Joe
Bouchard’s former band Blue Oyster Cult.
The quality of this recording is pretty good and I have to say the live
BDS songs I enjoy more here than in the studio CD.

BDS Camden Underworld
(Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith)
Touring to promote “Back From Hell” CD BDS put on a great
show.
I seem to love their live recordings compared to the studio recorded CD.
They cover 5 tracks from their debut album. Four songs from Alice Cooper
as well as Dennis Dunaway “Bass medley.” Bouchard covers 2
songs from his Blue Oyster Cult days. “Astronomy” is an excellent
BOC song the band does live.
