Brutally Live
Well if you read my "Brutal Planet" CD review you will know I think this one of Alice's best records. Alice takes his dark story of "Brutal Planet" to the stage. Almost like Blade Runner the musical as the stage is covered with debris of human bones, torn down buildings, abandon cars. Alice is playing with one of the finest backing bands in a long time. They play the classic hits as well but give it a fresh sound.

Brutally Live DVD + CD Collector's Edition
Re-released in 2003 this Brutal Planet Tour comes with an added CD of the concert as well. Although edited out are 5 tracks including the instrumental. Ok so I know the CD wouldn't hold the whole concert but why delete "Pick Up The Bones" especially when it's part of the new material of the Brutal Planet album. I know, I know for the public they rather leave in a hit song rather than some non air played tune but I still believe it should of been included on the CD. The other songs edited out are "Dead Babies" a rare tune as well but I can see they do have it out on the "Billion Dollar Babies" Deluxe CD with the live version from '73 and from the original band too boot! Another great tune and favorite of mine is "Ballad of Dwight Fry" from "Love It To Death" album. "I Love The Dead" and "Black Widow" also edited out but the latter was really an instrumental which leads into a drum solo by Eric Singer. Eric's a great drummer but to tell the truth if Alice wasn't involved it's not a big deal.

The DVD is the same as the original version that came out previously. Even the Special Features "Gimme" video and alternate camera angle.
