The Nightmare Returns
Reissued
First shown on MTV during Halloween night at Joe
Louis Arena, Detroit, MI in October 31, 1986. Alice drops the New Wave
and goes back into classic Alice with his new band and axe man Kane
Roberts the Rambo of Rock n' Roll. To promote
his new album "Constrictor" which uses a lot of influences
from the 80's splatter movies. The concert in it's entirety shows Alice's
new show which he also plays his classic hits. Some of the new theatrics
include Alice building a monster during "Teenage Frankenstein".
Alice skewers a cameraman (assistant Brian Nelson) with a microphone
stand during "Go To Hell". The appearance of Jason from the
"Friday The 13th" film. I really enjoyed this concert since
Alice was laying off the make up and theatrics in some time. Plus this
was a big return for Alice with a lot of promotion. The MTV version
which I first taped off TV shows a promo at the end of a janitor sweeping
up the stage which turns out to be Alice. The VHS leaves out the promo
of The Constrictor album.
As for the DVD reissued version it comes w/ bonus video
of "Teenage Frankenstein" which are clips from the concert.
The other is "Freedom" which is from the following album "Raise
Your Fist" again this video is taken from faux stage performance.
I believe this video is from "The Alice Cooper Story" DVD.
